I eat antipasta twice
Just because she is so nice, Angelina
Angelina, the waitress at the pizzeria

I give up soup and minestrone
Just to be with her alone, Angelina
Angelina, the waitress at the pizzeria

Ti vol-glio be-ne
Angelina I adore you
E vol-glio be-ne
Angelina I live for you

E un pas-sio-ne
You have set my heart on fire
But Angelina
Never listens to my song

I eat antipasta twice
Just because she is so nice, Angelina
Angelina, waitress at the pizzeria

If she’ll be a my My Car-ra mi-a
Then I’ll join in matrimony
With a girl who serves spumoni
And Angelina will be mine!

[Both:]

You move it to the left, yeah, then you go for yourself.
You move it to the right if, it it takes all night.
[Earl:]
Now, baby, kinda slow with a whole lot of soul.
[Both:]
Don’t move it too fast, you make it last.
You know you scratch just like a monkey, yeah, you do, real, yeah.
You slide it to the limbo, yeah, how low can you go?
[Earl:]
But oh, come on, baby, I don’t want you to stumble now.

[Both:]
You just grove it right here to the Harlem shuffle.
[Backup singers:]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, do the Harlem shuffle.

[Earl:]
Oh, do the Monkey Shine now.
[Backup singers:]
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, do the Harlem shuffle.)
[Earl:]
Wahh-ahah, wahh-ah-ahh-ahh-ahh-ah-ah, wah-wah-ahh.

[Both:]
Hitch, hitch hike, baby, across the floor.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, I can’t stand it no more.
[Bob:]
Now, come on, baby, now, get into your slide.
[Both:]
We’re gonna ride, ride, ride, little pony, ride, yeah.
Shake, shake, shake, shake a tail feather, baby, (wooo!)
Shake, shake, shake,

[Fade.]

Fe-fe, fi-fi, fo-fo, fum
I smell smoke in the auditorium

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He’s a clown, that Charlie Brown
He’s gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why’s everybody always pickin’ on me)

That’s him on his knees
I know that’s him
Yeah, from 7 come 11
Down in the boys’ gym

Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He’s a clown, that Charlie Brown
He’s gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why’s everybody always pickin’ on me)

Who’s always writing on the wall
Who’s always goofing in the hall
Who’s always throwing spit balls
Guess who (who, me) yeah, you

Who walks in the classroom, cool and slow
Who calls the English teacher, Daddy-O

Hold me close, hold me tight
Make me thrill with delight
Let me know where I stand from the start
I want you, I need you, I love you
With all my heart

Ev’ry time that you’re near
All my cares disappear
Darling, you’re all that I’m living for
I want you, I need you, I love you
More and more

I thought I could live without romance
Until you came to me
But now I know that
I will go on loving you eternally

Won’t you please be my woman
Never leave me alone
‘Cause I die ev’ry time we’re apart
I want you, I need you, I love you
With all my heart

Right now, as a point of information, something we didn’t know until recently. Every year, in Trinidad, they have what is know as a "calypsonian carnival" in which the various native groups down there vie with one another, uh, musically, in order to find out who’s the best extemporaneous composer of them all. And in the year 1955, Lord Invader and his Twelve Penetrators took the title with this next song, based on a theme by Goethe involving the dance of the dead. Well, uh, Invader could only draw from experience so he called it, of course, "Zombie Jamboree, the Song That Killed Calypso."

Well, now
Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

Now hear me callin’
Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

Zombie Jamboree took place in a New York cemetery (Where?)
Zombie Jamboree took place in Long Island cemetery
Zombies from all parts of the island (Where?)
Some of them are great Calypsonians
Hey, since the season was Carnivale

They got together in Bacchanal

Whatcha doin’?
Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

One female zombie wouldn’t behave
She say she want me for a slave
In the one hand she’s holding a quart of wine (Whoa)
In the other she’s pointin’ that she’ll be mine
Now believe me folks, yes I had to run (Why?)
Husband of a zombie ain’t no fun (No nice!)
I says "Oh, no my turtle dove"
"That old bag of bones I cannot love"

Whatcha doin’?
Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

What a good game!
Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

Right then and there she raise a *feet*
"I’m a-going to get you now, my sweet"
"I’m gonna make you call me Sweetie Pie"
I says "Oh, no, get back-you lie"
I may be lyin’ but you will see (What?)
After you kiss this dead zomb-ie (Blecccch!!!)
No, I’ve never seen such a horror in me life
Can you imagine me with a zombie wife? (YES!)

Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

You’re all alone, you know.

Back to back, belly to belly
Well I don’t give a damn
’cause it doesn’t matter really
Back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree

I remember hearing this one as a kid when I visited my Grandparents down in Ottumwa, Iowa, in the early 70’s around Christmas time. My grandmother just adored this song, so I’m dedicating this post to her.

Comb your hair and paint and powder
You act proud and I’ll act prouder
You sing loud and I’ll sing louder
Tonight we’re setting the woods on fire

You my gal and I’m your feller
Dress up in your frock of yeller
I’ll look swell but you’ll look sweller
Setting the woods on fire

Well take in all the honkey tonks
Tonight were having fun
Well show the folks a brand new dance
That never has been done

I don’t care who thinks we’re silly
You be daffy and I’ll be dilly
We’ll order up to bowls of chili
Setting the woods on fire

I’ll gas up my hot rod stocker
We’ll get hotter than a poker
You’ll be broke but I’ll be broker
Tonight we’re setting the woods on fire

We’ll sit close to one another
Up the one street and down the other
We’ll have a time o brother
Setting the woods on fire

We’ll put aside a little time
To fix a flat or two
My tires and tubes are doing fine
But the air is showing through

You clap hands and I’ll start bowing
We’ll do all the laws allowin
Tomorrow I’ll be right back plowing
Setting the woods on fire

Lucky Ladybug, lucky ladybug!
A lucky ladybug!

Ladybug, silver dollar, rabbit’s foot,
With a four leaf clover and a horseshoe.
Wishbone, shamrocks got me shook
Singin’ Abracadabra in a cat’s eye.

I wonder, wonder if you love me, guess I’ll ask the star above me
When the moon is bright canary yellow.
It’d really be amazin’ if that crystal ball I’d gaze in
Says I’ll always be your steady fellow!

Ladybug, silver dollar, rabbit’s foot,
With a four leaf clover and a horseshoe.
Wishbone, shamrocks got me shook
Singin’ Abracadabra in a cat’s eye.

Though your words are smooth and soothin’, don’t you feel it’s time for groovin’
Come on, daddy, rock me wild, our band is rollin’. Uh-huh.
Keep it cool, my ducky-wucky, baby doll, our love is lucky
When you walk me down the aisle, we’ll do it strollin’!

Ladybug, silver dollar, rabbit’s foot,
With a four leaf clover and a horseshoe.
Wishbone, shamrocks got me shook
Singin’ Abracadabra in a cat’s eye.

Stupid Cupid gave us fever and an itchy-twitchy feelin’
And a green mosquito must have bit us.
Got us walking like two robbers makin’ moon talking, bobbin’
Like a firefly, splishin’ and a-splashin’.

Ladybug, silver dollar, rabbit’s foot,
With a four leaf clover and a horseshoe.
Wishbone, shamrocks got me shook
Singin’ Abracadabra in a cat’s eye.
